Super One joins MSA in congratulating British success at the CIK-FIA European KF3 Championship

The Motor Sports Association congratulates 2009 MSA British Junior Kart Champion Alexander Albon on capturing the 2010 CIK-FIA European KF3 Championship title.

Red Bull-backed Albon, 14 from Suffolk, beat dozens of international rivals to the coveted European title at the Belgian Genk circuit last weekend.

He was joined on the podium by fellow Briton Harrison Scott, with 2009 MSA British Junior Kart Championship runner-up Jake Dennis a commendable fourth. Meanwhile 2008 MSA British Cadet Kart Champion Roy Johnson – whom the MSA has nominated to represent the UK in the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy later this year – recorded the fastest race lap.

Albon said: “It felt so amazing to win the European title and I think it was the biggest achievement of my karting career so far. The MSA British Junior Kart Championship was a great training ground for me because the competition is so strong and the weather conditions are always varied, which helps you to become a good all-round driver who’s prepared for anything.”

MSA Chief Executive Colin Hilton said: “Alex confirmed his potential by winning the MSA British Junior Kart Championship last year and, now that he has taken the European KF3 title, it is clear that he has a bright future ahead of him. Congratulations also to Harrison, Jake and Roy, who have shown that UK motor sport continues to produce talent in abundance.”

Support Help for Heroes at Forest Edge

Forest Edge Kart Club has raised £15000 for Help for Heroes at their July meeting.  Unfortunately the strong winds prevented the Red Devils Parachute Display team performance, but they hope to carry out the display at a future meeting.
